Areas of Expertise

Educational and developmental psychology. Research interests focus broadly on child and adolescent development, and more specifically on academic motivation, parent involvement/over-parenting, classroom anxiety, and teacher and peer attitudes toward students with disabilities. Teaches courses in child psychology, adolescent development, educational psychology and exceptional children. Able to provide suggestions for helping families and children continue to develop the social and emotional skills necessary for navigating the current challenges of social distancing and school closures due to COVID-19.
