Notes Originally from the southern part of China, Kaishan Kong has a diverse background in studying and working in multinational settings. She received her academic degrees in China, England and America. She has more than 11 years of language and culture teaching experience in China and the U.S. She is dedicated to building connections between China and the rest of the world and positively impacting others. She has received multiple prestigious awards from the University of Minnesota and the University of Wisconsin, including the Buckman Fellowship for Leadership in Philanthropy, President's Student Leadership and Service Award, Mary A. McEvoy Award for Public Engagement and Leadership, Scholarly Excellence in Equity and Diversity Award, Wisconsin Teaching Fellows & Scholars Award, and Emerging Mentor in Research, Scholarship and Creative Activity Award. She also received a Fulbright Scholar award to complete a project on intercultural competence in Malaysia in 2022.
